It was nearly a disaster
I just can't believe some jockeys are getting into trouble in 5 runner races.

1:50 - Our Jonathan (tough to choose though) 3rd
2:20 - Songcraft (hoping for a Seb De Sousa double) Win
3:20 - Royal Mezyan / Tiger Twenty Two (maiden, but these 2 have been out before) Withdrawn and Nowhere
4:00 - Franciscan / Reflect Nowhere and withdrawn
4:35 - Kyllachy Rise / Grey Gazelle (I think GG can cause an upset) Won at 16/1
5:10 - Sunnybridge Boy / Maven / Merchant of Medici (bob race, Medici is a sentimental inclusion) Nowhere, Nowhere, Third

Ruby Walsh has split from riding for Paul Nichols. So Daryl Jacob will take over and ride as first jockey for Nichols. Ruby said the split from Nichols was the travelling to the UK and back to Ireland every day. He would leave at 5 am and not get home until 8 pm and wanted to spend more time with his family and will just now ride out for Willie Mullins in Ireland. Nichols said that Ruby will still ride for him when he is available.

It was a shocking ride, and one that she repeated less successfully in the very next race on Code Of Honour.
The first one the horse got her out of jail - in the next she couldn't have ridden worse blindfolded.

I wish I could move on mate, but my wallet has a memory all of it's own.
The daft thing is I reckon she's about the best lady jockey around, and have always argued that she should get better rides than she does.
After Saturday I'm still emotionally scarred and in a state of delayed shock.
A sunny bank holiday in Hazel Grove just adds to my confusion, as it is as rare as Ryan Moore smiling.

Haha Ryan Moore would never crack a smile the moody little bollocks. He could win the lotto and he wouldnt even fucking smile.

As for Cathy a bloke I used to work with used to go out with her when she was still living in Dublin and used to get a fair few tips from her over the times we worked at decent prices. A decent jockey but there is just something with women jockey's that I do be a bit of I dont know about them more so in a tight battle they just dont have the power to get the best out of them in a close finish at times.

Captain Dunne is a good bet for the Dash on Saturday. In good form at home, ground is firm enough (he likes it rattling) and has the plum draw in 18.

He will take some pegging back.

Rizeena looks like a nice filly. Won the national at Sandown tonight very easily and could be one for the queen mary or albany at Royal Ascot. Joyuese is another to look out for, half sister to Frankel so no doubt she will be hyped up but hacked up at Lingfield the other day and interesting to see her out so early in her 2yo campaign so clearly Cecil is aiming her at some pattern races this year.

He's been the master at turning out two year old winners for 30 + years as our henry
Especially when steve cauthan was stable jockey many years ago, winner after winner
Could be worth a small punt for next years 1000 gunineas at about 33/1 joyuese

Anyway Frankies back today :)............And Liber Naucticus for the oaks, backed it the other week for this race & its still 9/2.

cookie, i cant help but think frankie is going to ride a double on his return today mate, just the hype around him etc and not bad horses hes on, i can see the little whipper jumping off his 2nd winner mate!

£5 e/w double for me returns £450 with skybet if both win, even if both placed will post a nice return

Oaks & Derby each way special combo:

The Oaks
Moth at 4/1 EW. Excellent breeding (sired by Gallileo) and bred to stay. Adian O'Brian's Has good form (3rd in the 1000 Guineas) and looks a good each way punt.

The Derby
Chopin at 12/1 EW. Has decent form of 2nd 1st 1st in its last 3 starts. It has been supplemented for the race at a cost of £75,000. It could also be the first German horse to win this classic.

I'll have a £5 double and a £5 each way bet on both.
