I think its fair to compare Frankel and Camelot and it obvious to see that Camelot is not as good as first thought. Yes he's won a guineas and a derby but like others have said what has he beat? The horses he beat in the guineas have gone on to do nothing and same with the derby. Main Sequence was the one everyone thought would go on and do something but he didnt.

Frankel might have raced at 1m for most of his career but that doesnt make him worse the fact that he raced over 1 distance. The only reason Camelot went to the guineas was to get a run into him before the derby and thats coming from O'Brien himself. It was a good win but nothing better than that and it was a poor renewal. The derby was a bad race aswell. Im not saying Camelot is a bad horse because hes a 3 time classic winner but like most O'Brien horses, hes been hyped up too much when he is just another horse like Fame and Glory like Henrythenavigator like Rip Van Winkle etc, good but not great.

If he goes to the arc then i can see him running well but not winning. I would rather back Sea Moon in that race who is way over priced at 20/1.

To be honest you can say the same about the horses that Frankel has beaten that the standard wasnt good enough in my view. Frankel gets a lot of praise for winning and beating the same horses. Cecil in my view could send Frankel over for the Arc hell so could O Brien with Camelot. I am guessing if Cecil and O Brien were asked to bring both horses to the Arc to face each other it would bring a end to all of this talk of which horse is the best horse and it would be Frankel v Camelot see then just how good each horse is.

Frankel has beaten some very good horses off the top of my head Nathaniel, Excelebration, Canford Cliffs (granted we all know something was up) Dubawi Gold Yes he has only really ran at 1m but does that take anything away from him? No. the cold hard facts are Camelot hasnt beaten anything with real quality.

I am a big coolmore & o brien fan
I wouldn't of thought Camelot would even get into the top 7 or 8 horses that ballydoyle has ever produced.

My favs would be high chaperal & Gallieo.

Like others have said frankel has been destroying horses that have since come out & won group ones
And as a 4 year old he looks even better.

Ah yes they had some brilliant horses over the years. Always had a soft spot for Yeats loved that horse George Washington was electric for them and Rock of Gibraltar all brilliant horses.
Saying that it says it all when you see how disapointed O Brien was in the interview after missing out on Camelot it shows how highly he rates the horse and for them to miss out he has taken it hard. Also Joe O Brien gave him a poor ride in my view I know Aidan didnt slate the lad afterwards but for what a 19 year old if that he will learn a lot from missing out on Camelot. So it will be interesting to see were they go with Camelot and if they train on with him.

good to see a few nice winners in the last couple of weeks, and also the new idea of nap of the day.

any 1 fancy anything today?
