I know that mate thats why yesterday I thought you quotes for Frankel was way over the odds like miles over the odds. Might end up like his pop Galileo and be a champion sire in years to come but until he produces some group winners he wont get the bigger fees. I think £30,000 a pop at the best and then see how it goes with his horses. Pour Moi is €20,000 a pop. Oh and Fastnet Rocket is also a private sale as well.
Giants Causeway is $85,000 a pop in the US stud.
Fastnet Rocket is $220,000 Aus , So You Think is $66,000 Aus , High Chaparral is $77,000 Aus Encosta De Lago is $82,500 Aus.
Some amount of money that is in stud fees. Also expect St Nicholas Abbey to be sent to stud in the US after winning a Breeders Cup Group 1 race last season.
Also news on Camelot hot off the press The Surgery went well with Camelot and the veterinary team are delighted with its progress so far.
No way £30'000 mate, def way over that..
£250'000 maybe to much fair enough,am still going for £150'000
Frankel is a one off and we will not see the like of him again,he would of beaten all them horses running backwards you have just named and for that reason folk will be queueing up to pay top notch and hoping he delivers a superstar..
I also remember matt chapman debating this maybe 6 months ago on the racing channel and they were quoting 6 figures....I guess we will know soon enough :)
Take a look at this article from a year ago,he reckons £100'000 is being conservative and frankel is twice the horse now..
