Any tips for ffos las today gents?

i fancy the maguire/bailey double azure aware 2.20 and sparville 3.20 pays 11/1 if you wanna really try you arm stick full shift in too in the last treble pays 29/1, as for dawn approach it beat what was put against it, in my own opinion it dosent look a great year this year but plenty of decent horses still to run this year telescope from stoute would be unbeaten had the rider not dropped his whip in his first race, obriens battle of marengo also looks very good this year, the french horse ocovango is highly regarded too

So Dawn Approach's one serious rival was beaten two furlongs out, and can't stay a mile?
How on earth can he provide a serious test over even further?
Toronado found absolutely nothing when push came to shove, and is clearly nowhere near as connections thought him to be.
Dawn Approach is clearly a very good horse, and I agree that you can only beat whatever opposition lines up against you, but I very much doubt that he is another Sea The Stars, and certainly not another Frankel.

I never said Toronado would challenge him for the derby so dont know where you've got that from and i never compared DA to STS and Frankel, i just said they all supposedly beat nothing in their 2000 guineas. You look at the horses Frankel and STS beat and none of them have gone on to do anything special so lets wait and see what DA does later in the season rather than say hes nothing special just because he won a classic by only 5 lengths and didnt demolish them like Frankel

You stated that we don't know how good DA is until his rivals are tested over further.
I stated that his only serious rival,(Toronado), didn't even stay a mile, so I can't see him getting further.
Several pundits who know far more than I do have written in the Racing Post that they don't consider this to be a vintage year, and that DA is a very good horse who has beaten some fairly average ones, which is an opinion I share.
I never said DA was 'nothing special', and to be honest I don't know why you came in to have a go anyway, given that my post was responding to someone else, because you don't seem to have a point.

What i said was we wont know what hes beat until they are tested further not over further. Anyway we'll see soon as hes being aimed at the derby and i hope he romps away with it and shows everybody that he is a special horse

But beating a field of substandard horses will not prove he is a special horse, it will prove he is a good horse who is the best of a pretty mediocre bunch.
He may well win the Derby, but his price to do so is poor, which was my point in the first place.
I'm not knocking the horse - clearly it has ability, but if one of Kevin Ryan's third string nags can get within five lengths, 'special' may be overstating his talents somewhat, and would suggest that Guineas form isn't a reliable yardstick.

Its a hard 1 for me yes you can only beat whats in front of you. Its a shame that Kingsbarns wasnt ready for the 2000 Guineas and doesnt look likely to be running in the Derby either as thats the 1 Coolmore fancied big time to do well this season for them. Sadly injuries we might not see Kingsbarns run until late in the season and maybe Ascot but will he be able to compete with Dawn Approach only time will tell.

Also today the return of Camelot at the Curragh want to see how well it does after the horses bad health after the Arc run.

Good to firm, over the top of the green mile.
Bay colt just won his maiden 4.10 at Warwick get in son.
Well bred,They think his very best will be the middle of his fourth year, and could be worth tracking Pleasure Bent..

If anyone watches the first race at Chester today on tv, can you let me know how "Flying Power" gets on, it's my mates horse. He's taken day off work to go down to Chester to watch it and his last words to me were, if its not rained its got an each-way chance. Cheers

Currently 16/1 mate
Good to firm ground so looks like the rain has stayed away.

Better than your previous tip Pieface ;)

haha yeah,Hannon will not be getting a knighthood just yet.

Funny as fuck, my mate has just come into work grumpy as fuck. Gutted that the rain came and his horse just didn't handle the ground at Chester yesterday. He said he had to share a members table with top trainer John gosden and Lord and Lady Bamford. In her posh voice they said to him "we've arrived in a helicopter" my mate said common as fuck but thinking he's being upper class " we've arrived in a merc" quality.
