Always struck me as a bit cocky. Sort of "he's good, and he knows it". But, I suppose, if you are that good, you can be cocky.

I remember him being interviewed after that last injury breakdown with his thigh bandaged up. "It only lasted 70 metres, but it was a brilliant 70 metres...." or similar.
