Good decision, had to be made.

Can't bring myself to enjoy this after the way they celebrated us winning.

Their in match thread was probably better than ours. They were really made up about it.

Have they really "locked it out of respect" hahahaha has he died or something?

Hope Martinez doesnt go he has a bright future and they will ruin him

Do Liverpool ever stop living in the past? Why get Rafa back when there are better options?

If they are smart they'd get Martinez in.

ian hollowhead ;)

Arf :) But if they go down that route they need a proven Sporting Director to help him, same with my hunch. Louis Van Gaal could really help them.

Bizarre decision by the owners.

Any new manager will have the weight of history and the ghost of King Kenny on top of him, no real money to spend, no chance of attracting the very best, a guarantee that they're not getting top 4 next season... unless they get Jose (which isn't as ludicrous as some might think) and a support that is ready for yet another round of protests.

I hope they get Martinez. That will ensure mid-table mediocrity.

If possible they should try for O'Neill or Hughes to give them at least a modicum of credibility, otherwsie they'll "do a Wolves" and end up rudderless and heading down.

The demise of Liverpool has taken on a real pace after today's events.

My favorite part of the RAWK thread is the guy saying Rafa Benitez is "too powerful" for the American owners to hire. What is he? The Incredible Hulk?

-- Wed May 16, 2012 12:32 pm --

I don't know. Should they have given him another hundred million pounds or so for another season?

I doubt there is any more real money. I think that was the point I was making.

So what can a new manager do with "Kenny's players"?

No decent manager will now take the job. Sometimes it is better the devil you know...

They're still a horrible football club. There were probably some paeodophiles celebrating our title win but you wouldn't stick up for them would you?
