Dalglish gone (MERGED)

Re: The King is Dead

Liverpool are a club that's going down hill, As soon as Gillett and Hicks took over that was it, And to be honest there new owners are nothing but cowboys too. Liverpool won't even finish in the top half of the league next season, Especially if Martinez gets the job!

Decision they had to make. Forget sentiment, the guy wasn't up to it. You live and die by your signings, and all of them bar Suarez, Enrique, and maybe in the long term Coates, have been quite poor. His comments about cups over league form, and success by kit deals, just smacked of desperation, to try and make what was a bad season, look good. Benitez is not the solution I feel, Liverpool need a new start, under a fresh manager with new ideas.

Re: The King is Dead

Who would be his replacement?

I'm not sure Martinez would be the right man, but what about Brendan Rogers? He seems to have done a great job with Swansea, setting up a passing mentality a la Barcelona. They were second only to us in that department during this season..

And I don't know why Rafa would be willing to come back given the way he was kicked out, unless he's desperate since I think he's still jobless? lol
