Dani Alves And David Villa For Sale.

I don't think we need Alves (particularly) but it is outrageous to dismiss him in such a way as it suggests he isn't good enough for us.

Magnificent player. One of the very best and we would be lucky to watch him play in blue.

I'd be interested in Alves if Mancini planned to use him as a midfielder. Most full backs imo can play the CM role and Alves has more than enough energy, intelligence and skill.

But not as a full back. Richards and Zabba have heart. We can't replace that even with better players. We need a balance. Hart, Vinny, Lescott, Zabba, Richards, Yaya, Silva, Aguero and imo Tevez are the priority to keep.

Villa is a no go. Only desperate clubs gamble on stikers. We did many times in the past and United did with Owen a few years ago. Very few of these gambles come off. I'd be surprised if Villa was exceptional anywhere. He is a spent force imo.

Barca want to sell him to raise funds for a newer, fitter, younger, cheaper, potentially better striker than Villa.

So why don't we go for that player instead?

Even though we don't need him, Alves is easily the best RB in the world.

Best attacking right-back sure but defensively he's not even top ten and at times his defensive work is terrible. And as Kolarov has shown you HAVE to be a good defender here to be a good full-back.

I'm baffled at all the people saying "No" to Alves..

He has 64 assists for Barcelona as a defender

Plus our squad lacks width and good crosses.. He's probably the best crosser in the world.. Mind you guys that he doesn't have a big target man to cross to at barca, so he REALLY needs to have sharp crosses to get the assist

The most underrated player in the world IMO, absolute retarded decision by Pep to let him out against chelski in the beggining

In his prime and without Micah/Zaba I would take him in a second.

But he's won everything and on his last big contract. That just spells disaster for a club like us. He is the best in the world, you'll not get an argument from me about that.

I reckon Malaga and PSG will be keen on him.

They're putting players up to raise funds for their targets, they are currently looking at three:

Van Persie
Jordi Alba
David Luiz

Whether they get them or not is a differant matter though?

No for me, money could be spent better elsewhere. Also, I would consider Villa if Tevez left but surely there would be more suitable, younger, replacements.

Villa i would take if his injury is ok,and also if the fee and his wages weren't too high,Silva is used to playing with him so he wouldn't take time fitting in.
