Dani Alves And David Villa For Sale.

Guillem Balague states that Barcelona have put Alves and Villa up for sale in the summer to raise funds for a striker and some defensive options/ replacements.

Villa is getting on a bit now and after being out for half the season with a broken leg I am not sure he would be worth the punt, he does score 25+ goals a season though,

Alves could be a good signing but we are full up with right backs with Micah and ZabMan. He is not getting any younger but could be an option as a winger which I think he plays best anyway for Barcelona. He gets 30 asissts a season at Barcelona and was not far off that number whilst at Sevilla.

Alves no - Villa quality and would fit well with our style - depends whom leaves this summer i guess

I'm baffled at all the people saying "No" to Alves..

He has 64 assists for Barcelona as a defender

Plus our squad lacks width and good crosses.. He's probably the best crosser in the world.. Mind you guys that he doesn't have a big target man to cross to at barca, so he REALLY needs to have sharp crosses to get the assist

The most underrated player in the world IMO, absolute retarded decision by Pep to let him out against chelski in the beggining

Agree 100% Alves the best right back/right wing back in the world, top quality signing.

He is a quality right back no doubt but would want masive wages - he is 28 so it would be his last major contract

We have two quality right backs and i think we can spend the money better ie a top top quality midfield player whom has the tenacity of DJ with an ability to see a pass bit like Barry only better

An Alonso type player would be a better player to spunk shit loads of dosh on

As crazy as it sounds to say/type this, we don't need either of them.

Alves - Works well in la liga and barca's style, but is suspect defensivly and would want huge wages. I wouldn't want to lose either richards (academy and city through and through) or zabba (model professional and definite fan favourite) for the sake of somebody who's going to be here for at most 2 years.

Villa - Great before his injury but can't guarantee he'll be the same player when he comes back from such a long lay off at his age. He'll be 31 in dec, so for his age/fitness and the wages he'd command it's not sounding to good a deal for us. Plus i think were pretty well stocked with Aguero, Tevez, Balotelli, Dzeko and hopefully Guidetti. If we do lose any of them, there's people i'd rather replace them with before villa.

Barcelona full-back Dani Alves, 28, is poised to reject interest from Manchester City and stay with the Catalan giants.

We should start charging Barcelona for their contract negotiations.
