We we've had maicon, Weah, Mcmanaman, Fowler etc etc. A week ago I was of the same opinion. You want the best for City, and when you have a reported £300m, then it's fair to wonder whether it's the best choice. Having a go at blues for voicing a doubt which you honestly must share to an extent is not what a forum is about. It's about exchanging views and seeing which one comes out on top.

Couldn't be happier, honestly. He's the consensus best right back in football and we are signing him potentially for free. This is what it's like to be City.

I think his dressing room presence is an underappreciated factor. He's a huge personality, already mates with several players on our squad (and Sanchez yet to come in) who can bridge the language gap and inject some fight into the team too.

I'll reiterate once again. Good squad player, high risk signing as a first choice.

Writing a player off before he even gets here is nonsense and you will be the first on his thread putting the boot in if he doesn't get off to a flyer,it's all too predictable imo

No I won't be on here slagging him because I'm reasonable enough to know that a 34 year old shouldn't be expected to instantly adapt to a new league.

It's the 'HE'S THE BEST SIGNING EVER, YOU'RE TALKING RUBBISH' crew you wanna worry about. Usually the most fickle of the lot and will turn on players very quickly.

Guarantee a lot of the people criticising my opinion are the same one's who lauded then subsequently slagged off the Maicon signing.
