Agree that it is a strange turn of events as I would have had a hard time imagining Dani turning Pep & City down but certainly money talks and as I alluded to in an earlier post, the player (€14 million vs €5 million is an easy choice for 99/100 people) sought to consolidate his finances after having mismanaged quite a bit prior to his divorce
That being said, I think it's quite a blow to Pep, City & their transfer plans and season ahead. Sporting wise, a real disappointment since I would have loved to see Dani reunited with Pep and the attack that City will boast. But PSG truly is a Brasilian carnivale with Paris a great locale for a newly wed couple who likely prefer the haute couture of Paris to that of Manchester
Surprising though in the end, for me. Gotta believe Dani gave City an opportunity to match the offer as I can scarcely imagine he would hang Pep out to dry
Ntcham to Celtic - £7m
Alls fair in love and football...
Just illustrates how much of a piece of deception this was - particularly meeting with Pep and not having the decency to call when it was off
Don't know why people are calling him out for signing for more money than we offered him, that's exactly how we got the big names since the takeover

Exactly, if we were not employed and had 2 offers with one offering twice as much money as the other which one would we choose ?
Perhaps we would send a thanks but no thanks to the loser but maybe he has done that anyway.
