If his wife wanted Paris...not sure City matching PSG offer would have made any difference to his decision
It's a minor inconvenience not a major blow to our transfer plans imo
No guarantee he would have reproduced last seasons form for Juve in the PL or CL for us
It has to be said its more than a minor inconvenience, at least in my opinion. Yeah ok, his best days are behind him but he has qualities which undoubtedly would of enhanced our squad and all on a free transfer. I'm not gonna cry a river over this, we will have another target in mind for sure but there's no point pretending this isn't a big blow. Its not a question of flapping, but we really need to start getting our deals over the line.

I've turned down more money in the past as the other job offered better prospects long term.. Issue is he said it wasn't about the money but it clearly is!
But it's not the same, as it's nothing like long term prospects, he's got two years, at most. The way he plays, once his legs go, that's it (look at Zabba). If PSG are paying him €28-30M for two seasons prior to his retirement, frankly he'd be mad not to take it. That being said, the ones I feel for in all this are Juventus. They cancelled his contract so he could have a final fling with Pep and he's legged off somewhere else!
All that being said, I never liked him with his diving, feigning injury and petulance at either Barca or Juventus and I hope he has an absolute nightmare time of it in France.

I'm glad he didn't sign 34 on big wages
It wasn't meant to be and we move on could be a blessing in disguise.

I fully agree. Keep reading that he knows Peps system which after reading the two books on Peps time in Germany he doesn’t have a set system and I’d hope any blue would have noticed this last season as well. So surely any signin Pep wants can be trained to play how he wants so no need to chase a 34 year old who is looking to top up his pension.

He's 34! He'd of had a £4-5m signing on fee plus his wage, the mans rich enough & could live in Brazil like a king for the rest of his life, hell he could live anywhere like a king for the rest of his life if he liked.
What's to say City wouldn't of offered him a roll at one of our other clubs on a huge wage? He had prospects available & chose greed over anything else. The mans a leech & has confirmed he's a c*nt to everyone.

Not sure hat I agree that he doesn't have a system.
He doesn't have a set formation but he certainly seems to have a system that relies on quite carefully defined movement of players in relation to the ball.

Seems a strange signing on PSG’s part, as they already have two pretty good right backs in Aurier and Meunier. To be honest I’d prefer us to try and sign either of those than Walker.
