But but but he would never do that to Pep

But but but it was the French equivalent of the Sun that reported it

But but but the flappers are being ridiculous this deal is done

etc etc etc

That's us fucked then. The only right back in the world other than Kyle Walker might have signed for someone else. I guess Levy knows this and will know that as the owner of the last rightback, he can charge whatever he wants. All that is left is to photoshop Kyles head onto Will Smiths body from the I am Legend posters and then jump off a bridge

On the bright side, if we were to miss out on a target then I would have chosen Alves. We would have only got one good year out of him at his age.

On the dark side, this seems to happen way too often with us. Isco, Laporte, Alves.... I'm wondering if we're not aggressive enough when it comes to signing players up and instead rely too much on the 'word' of players.

The people who moan at flappers hiding? This is exactly why some people flap as the longer things drag on the more chance of anything going wrong. I'd rather be a flapper than have my head up my arse that everything is ok. He was clearly a player we wanted in a very key position who we have now missed out on with weeks wasted

grow up

Flapping is not allowed on here. You must see everything through blue-tinted specs.

Looks like we couldn't have done anything about this one, player has changed his mind, it happens.

I'd go and give Monaco the £40m-£45m they want for Fabinho.

Impossible to argue with that. A deal is never done until it's done. And now we're going to get shafted by Spurs for Walker and let Rudiger go as well

If reports are true I can only assume it's his wife's influence making him join PSG – otherwise i'd be really disappointed in the club if PSG could offer a more attractive package than us... then again maybe Alves fancies an easy couple of years before retirement, and Ligue 1 will certainly give him that.
