Dani Olmo

He is currently training at Barcelona today. He wants to be at Barcelona. I couldn't see him committing to any deal with any other club past this summer when he could register with them. Short term signings are not what we need. If we signed someone on a short term loan, I want a player who would be fighting for a deal with us not a lad who would be going back to the club he wants to truly be at in the summer.
Why would he fight for a deal with us when he is STILL in Barcelona? They have like 24 hours left. After that it changes. Haaland is not going to fight for a deal for Madrid while being here.

You've just proved my point. For the next 24 hours he will fight to stay where he WANTS to be. After that he might go to a club he is MADE to for 6 months. He's a Barcelona lad playing for his boyhood club.

If he is a free transfer then he would sign long term unless you are assuming he would only commit to 6 months? Then essentially he may as well be a free agent until the summer and hope barca registers him then
