If he does not want to leave them for us then we should move on.

As long as we play Lescott instead against the Dippers, I think we'd be OK, he's a professional and will give his best.

Sounds like he's being sold against his wishes.

Hairy muff.

Has to be said that it's crazy that he played and potentially cup-tied himself then, surely that knocks some value off what we are prepared to pay?

Or am I missing something?

No way we'd buy him if he couldn't play in the CL. That's exactly what Mancini wants him for.

It seems strange to me that all the comments (from Gerrard tonight and Rodgers the other day) are about how the owners want the deal to go through and Agger is being forced to leave.

Why does it seem that everybody is ganging up on the still relatively new owners and treating Agger like he's the greatest person to ever wear a Liverpool shirt? Does anybody know?

From earlier.....

Does this rule mean anything? From the official champs league player eligibility rules

18.07 As a rule, a player may not play in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA
Champions League and UEFA Europa League, but not UEFA Super Cup) for
more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally,
however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second or third qualifying
round of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to
play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another
club as from the group stage, provided that his former club did not qualify for
the group stage of either the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa
League;

Their owners will probably see this as a business decision. They feel they have got to recoup some money somehow after Kenny Dalglish's spending spree. This is not a million miles away when we sold SWP to Chelsea in my opinion. This is all hypothetical though.

Not sure about this as the player can refuse to be sold cant he?
IMO i reckon he just wants to leave making the right noises, as when Torres went it left a sour taste in many Dippers eyes.

Future honours / Wage increase v Eeeeeestry ........not much of a decision to make if you ask me.

And he probably wont have to move house either
