It seems strange to me that all the comments (from Gerrard tonight and Rodgers the other day) are about how the owners want the deal to go through and Agger is being forced to leave.

Why does it seem that everybody is ganging up on the still relatively new owners and treating Agger like he's the greatest person to ever wear a Liverpool shirt? Does anybody know?

People see the mad amount of money we splashed on players last season and think they have invested hugely in Liverpool. They have invested something like £20m net since taking over the club. Remember we sold Torres, Meireles, Babel etc to fund these transfers last season. We have also taken countless players off the wage bill who were high earners without replacing any of them - Kuyt, Maxi, Bellamy, Aquilani to name a few of them.

They are obviously here to streamline Liverpool and run it as a business which makes a profit. It seems pretty clear from the Gerrard's and the managers comments Agger getting sold will be a business decision rather than a footballing one. That can be fine if those profits are reinvested in the club but after the last two cunts who owned Liverpool failed to do this, everyone is very nervous about what motivates them as owners.

That's a fair post, it certainly doesn't look like FSG are prepared to splash the cash.

He supports lfc and fair ply to him not wanting to leave

Oh the ironing :) Pop back and have a look at your posts on the sinclair thread. You bring a whole new meaning to the words 'hypocrisy' and 'double standards'.

You.Never.Win.Again

Surely though, in this day and age, it's practically impossible for a club like Liverpool to make a profit without chumps league?

I would be astonished if its correct that he potentially cannot play in the champs league now. If it's correct they want to sell I'm surprised they even played him and risked injury buy by cup tie-ing him they've potentially cost themselves a sale/ knocked a considerable amount off the price we will be prepared to pay.

Are we certain it's correct that he could now be cup tied?

They had splashed the cash but squandered large amounts on shite. It was like when we had Mark Hughes with what has happened with Liverpool in the transfer market. It will take more money to rectify the mistakes and as you have said they are not prepared to do that.

They're the same as your old owners mate. They want to play Glazers with LFC. They couldn't give a shit about your club as long as it's in the Premier League and turning a profit.

Added to that fact mate is that a six year old knows more about football than FSG it's a dangerous combination when they seem to want to be involved with the football decisions at the club.

Have you not read the post I've quoted?

They haven't in fact splashed the cash due to the players they've sold.
