There was a poll on one of the big city blogs recently and 90% of city fans dont want him if the cost was over 15 million or so. The bottom line is he is not rated that highly by the majority of city fans.

What is a good player for liverpool these days is usually not good enough for city. They are a midtable side at the end of the day and we want to be winning the league and making progress in the champions league. He would make a decent squad player as backup for kompany and lescott but nothing more.

I don't understand this idea that because they have spent 15m on Allen they are skint and will want us to buy Agger. From what I can remember when Rogers took over he was promised something like 30m he has only spent 25m so on what basis have they overspent. No idea who they have sold and for what fees but haven't they sold Kuyt and Maxi. I think we are deluding ourselves if we believe they have cocked up their accounting. Paying them 27m for an injury prone albeit superb defender is not what I would call value for money. Rather pay the extra 5m and get Martinez (sorry to keep harping on about him). Then we would have two signings Rodwell and Martinez, both young who could play either at centre back or in midfield.

Its a Martinez from me too,I'm sure a couple of years in the premier and he'll be a top class act.
