Graham beecroft says agger has told us he doesn't want to play for us and committed to Liverpool

Nobody bothered asking him until the fee was agreed? I highly doubt that.

Why do you find it so hard to believe that clubs negotiate and then inform the player that he is to be sold. We did it with swp when Chelsea came in for him.

It's fans who are loyal. Players are commodities and they know it.

They play the game when it comes to interviews.

I like Agger. I'd love to see him at City, but only if it's cash only. If Liverpool needAgger cash to push through other deals then we can afford to sit tight. I know we need to do our own business, but we have Kolo Toure, Savic, Boyata and Richards who can play there. A lot of fans have doubts about Savic and Boyata but they are young and can improve quickly.

Be serious. Savic was given his big chance to finally shine on Sunday and was subbed at half time.

The first half Mancini spent most of the 45 minutes berating Savic for his non-performance!

I'm all for giving kids time and experience, but Savic realy looks no better than Championship standard, and he's not a kid any more either.

We simply can't rely on him.
Maybe he was only ever going to get 45 mins. I didn't see any clangers and he was up against good players. He's not a kid, but he is inexperienced. I'd keep faith with him and play him in Cup games. Think it's more confidence than ability.

I've no idea tbh, just seems a bit naive to me to think that a club would waste all that time and energy agreeing a fee, without first finding out if the player is up for it. I know if it were me, I'd be speaking to the player's agent on the qt before I even started ball rolling.

He might love being at that club and just not want to go but if liverpools owners are just seeing pound signs then they could force it through if they need to. He will never give his all for us if he's forced to come here

He may be saying all the right things in public to ensure that he leaves on good terms with the fans. He could kill this move stone dead by stating publicly that he doesn't want to come to City, but he chooses his words very carefully so as to not rule out that possibility. I happen to believe that we wouldn't be wasting our time unless he'd given us some sort of indication that he would be up for it. Could be totally wide of the mark. Just my take on it.

Yup, even if he wanted out he probably wouldn't say it publicly. He would look like an hypocrite after he said after Torres left that he wouldn't play for another english club.

Well what were effectively doing here is asking a player who is happy and settled at his current club and playing every minute of every game when fit to become a bit part squad player. I can see why he is apprehensive. He will come if pushed as he might not want to hang around where he isn't wanted. His agent is probably advising him not to shut us off completely Incase the relationship with the liverpool board breaks down completely

You forget the fact that we will probably double his current wage.....
