So does this mean he is out of the equation ?

Shame....

I thought he would have been a good additon especially if we want to go 3 - 5 2 formation

Agger Bid

Liverpool using us to up the real bid shocker! Bet we were never in for him a good pals act being played out from the media there!

Watched this site for a couple of years now and only just started to post any kind of comment but in my opinion there's no real point in any kind of swap deal with AJ as it'll only come back and bite us on the arse!

If we're to get a CB then he has to be top draw - lets not piss about buying young hopefuls, we've got that already, we need experience. It's going to be a long season and we've got a lot of journos, other clubs and the rags watchin' our every move, just waiting for us to slip up - one hit wonders lines are probably already written!

If we're to defend the title and move on in Europe then we need reliable quality throughout the first team and the bench - no question

Sign Agger, we know what he can do and he has premier league experience - in fact, why not tempt Vidic with a big money offer? That'd put the cat among the pigeons or at least force the rags to break the bank to keep him (which they can't afford to do!)

Either way TRUST MANCINI !!
no swaps - bad for agents

Re: Agger Bid

agger wouldn't start in our side, why the hell would he come from the liverpool first team to warm our bench untill the carling cup kicked in? he's too good for that.

unless we're now going 3 at the back?

I think its really hit home to bobby, how bad savic and kolo are, and if we loose vinnie to injury / ban, we could be in the shite. When your champion,s and have the money, why not have real quality in depth. 4 competitions, and no reason why we ouldn't get to the finals of both domestic cups, so alot of games to play with only 2 quality CB's

could be, makes sense that. think he'll mix it up though so one of the three will be kicking his heels at some point. my guess it wouldn't be lescott or vinny.

Or he takes Lescotts place.

gives us good cover, VK, JL, DA if happens, DB if not loaned out, KT, SS all at centre half, MR and PZ and GC and AK at full/wing backs. looks ok

no chance.

More money, more chance of medals? does that mean more to someone like agger? is that worth sitting a few games out? definitely in my view

I don't think Mancini is nearly as convinced by Lescott as the members of this board are.

I love Lescott, but I agree with this. Don't forget Mancini dropped Lescott v Bayern Munich for Kolo Toure who'd only played in the Carling Cup before that.
