I think you'll find noone has a bigger ego than Mario. It's just impossible. It defies logic.

His only position for me should be a centre forward. He is capable on the wing but i dont think he has the intelligence or the awareness of his teammates to play there, his only thought is to cut inside and shoot.

He is a striker who is greedy for goals, so thats where he should play. he'd score goals for fun with good service.

That's garbage. That's like saying Robben isn't intelligent or aware because he goes for glory.
He's got the hunger for goals, great intelligence & great awareness, but, it's understandable that a hunger to score & confidence is something that supersedes awareness of others when it comes to decision making. If you're analysis was correct then he wouldn't be capable of all of those passes in the passing composite of that highlight package I posted.

Also you will do well to remember before Sturridge got dropped under Di Matteo the only player that assisted more goals for Chelsea was Juan Mata.

Nevertheless playing wider only feeds to a one-dimensional game. He has to wait for the ball to come to him often as a wide player, whereas when you're in the middle you're in the thick of it & you can chase the action more. Playing wider you get the ball less, you can command the ball less & so when he does get it, he's going to want to do as much as he can with it.

Playing as a left footer on the right isn't a position where the player is made to feed others, it's usually so they can cut inside & shoot. I think w/ Studge he still wanted to go all the way to the line too often & take on everyone such is his confidence.

RDM is our manager, which again knocks his chances of staying, he always said he'd love to go to Spain, but, a club like Madrid might play him wider & he's stipulated he will definitely play centrally next season.

Should be a great season for Studge next year. Goals galore.

Chelsea wants Moses, which could very well spell the end for Sturridge.

I would take Sturridge back simply because he is a local product, might be very raw but potential is there and when he does become world class whether in city or not It will be a point of pride especially for followers of our youth system like I am.

Now I'm not Sturridge's greatest fan, but would any sane man honestly push him out for Victor Moses?
