Danilo as provided great cover for us.
But at present WALKER is back on his A GAME. Thankfully danilo won't let us down if required A GREAT SQUAD PLAYER.

Its good for all parts. Walker is playing well again. Danilo will get the chance to play a World Cup since there is no other good RB in Brazil; Dani Alves is too old, Eder Militao is playing as CB in Europe and Fabinho as midfielder. If City can recover the money spent even better.

Im not sure about this.

On the one hand:

- He's a great back up RB
- Replacing him is going to cost 30m+

On the other hand
- I can't blame him for wanting to play more
- I don't think Pep likes him, he said when he arrived he could play RB + LB, but he refused to drop Walker even when he was in terrible form and visibly tired, and he's preferred a 2m attacking midfielder to him at LB. I think he panicked when Alves fucked us over.

When he came, he knew that Walker was ahead of him and will start most games.

He should stay until his contract finish.

Hopefully within the next 3 years the academy can produce reliable RB.

Our we could just get Maffeo back

I wonder if that's an option. He's had an absolutely awful season at Stuttgart. The coach came out and said he didn't like him almost straight away, he barely played, they tried to loan him in January and now he's been suspended.

The Maffeo I saw for years at City & Girona was one of the hardest working players I've seen, so I find it very hard to believe he's not put effort in. Maybe it's the language barrier, or maybe Stuttgart are just a badly managed club and that's why they're getting relegated.

Zinchenko had a terrible loan and look at him now, so I don't really put much stock in them any more.

I think this is what sealed it. Walker has improved recently but he's been poor for most of the season and still Danilo has barely got a look in. I'll be disappointed if he leaves because I've always thought he was good enough to be our first choice right-back but he's been largely wasted here so I can't really blame him for wanting to move on.

Find the situation around him quite odd.

Has barely had a look in this season, despite some dreadful form from Walker and when he has come in, I've thought he's played really well and was unlucky to be dropped for Walker to come back in. Walker playing on merit now but probably for the first time this season.

Danilo needs a move, he's too good for whatever role he has in Pep's plans.
