But isnt that because club football especially the biggest clubs in the world can take players from all around the world.

When the links with Ings started, we instantly dismissed them. No way are we replacing Sergio with a 28 year old. It is just his agent looking for a better deal. Scores a lot but not the profile. etc etc.

The links with Kane really started when his interview was released, and that was recieved as anywhere between 'this has been done for some time' and 'he must at least have some encouragement from us to say that publicly'.

Ings offically turns down a 4 year improved contract offer from Southampton. But that can't he must have had some encouragement from somehere to do that, with us being the club most strongly linked club.

The club hasn't denied the links to Kane (we most often don't anyway). So that must mean we Are in for him. The club hasn't denied the links to Ings either. means nothing. Means nothing in both cases for me fwiw.

We readily believe that we would pay over double our transfer record, just like that, for a very very good player that scores lots of goals in the league. But wouldn't pay some 25-30m for a very good player that scores lots of goals im the league, of the same age. Who happens to be easier to get with only a year left on his contract and at a club known for selling more readily.

Again, for clarity, not that i believe we wre in for ings, or in for ings over Kane, and i certainly would've want Ings over kane. I just think we are very selective with what is out there to suit the players we fancy. Myself included at times, although I do try at least notice the parity.

Just to be pedantic Ings is 29 tomorrow.
Kane will be 28 in 6 days time.

Fair enough, I had thought the above for some time, didn't bother to check before posting. Hardly makes a huge difference, relatively. Kane is obviously by far the better player irrespective of age.

Yeah and Brazil are shite now as we will see in the World Cup. Not winding anyone up the amount of delusion it comes to when talking about this kid is off the scale he’s just a runner and not actually that good hence why he’s going to be sold.

he’s half way to a testimonial and people still don’t know his best position is that not telling? Not good enough simple as that, as a striker ings is actually a better player but he’s only slightly less shit.

Do you think if you repeat the same deluded stuff 10x every day that it will come true like some form of witchcraft?

Haaland isn’t signing here.... Messi was never signing here.... Kane is signed here and will be announced soon, enjoy the season and get with the real world pal.

We could buy both but we`d have to expand the treatment room. Ha-ha thats what we`re doing with the pair land and the City campus. The casino and the other stuff were just a smoke screen. 8-}

I`m starting to think that Ings being leaked is a sure sign we have Kane.

I didn`t want Kane because of his age, injury record, his potential zero resale and having to deal with Levy but now would love to get Kane so we don`t get Ings.

Exactly, the standard of club football has gone through the roof, in terms of the major clubs in the major leagues.

But also the standard of the recent crop of Brazilians has fallen to what is once was.

My take is IF we get Kane, Jesus may well want out and the Juve rumours are true.

If that is the case Ings may be the back up striker to Kane, that is, if Ings is happy to play that role.

Great lad, works himself into the ground but never a serious goal threat for me, goes on long runs of not scoring and when misses chances his head and confidence drops alarmingly.

And please stop with the Brazilian International, they are a distant shadow of a one wonderful team, they are very average, even by International standards.

He is too good a player to sit on a bench and I could understand if he wanted to move on and be a no1 at another club.

Do I think he will ever be No1 at our club? not for me.

Would I like him to stay as back up, yes I would.

Great lad, never fault him for effort, but ultimately in my opinion he lacks that killer instinct and total belief a top striker has to have.
