Danny Murphy's man of the match!

A lot of the ex-professionals that do the punditry were playing when City were shite and can't swallow the fact that we're not that crappy team that they used to put three passed every game anymore.

Murphy said on the penalty, good run from Aguero and then he makes the most of the defenders hands on him, I mean if he can't tell Otamendi from Aguero should he really be a pundit ?

He had a decent first half and that's it. I don't get all this 'let him have his moment' stuff. If anything it's patronising the lad. His team got walloped 5-1 in a game that we could have scored 10. Giving him an honourable mention would have sufficed by Murphy. I bet there's no precedent for giving the award to a player who was only on the pitch for an hour on the wrong end of a big defeat.
My issue is there's no way he gets that award if he was playing against any other team.

Can't see an issue, young player from plucky underdogs had a good game, let him have his moment
While this was obviously Murphy's thinking,it was still an utterly ridiculous decision that simply adds fuel to the agenda claims.

It's something I've never seen before, be interesting to see if it's ever happened.

They gave a Sutton player MotM against Arsenal. Bit different considered the gap between the sides and the scoreline disparity though.
