Dante

Good poet, shit defender.
Shit defender you say? he has been starting all Bayerns game at CB together with an arguably weaker defender in Boateng, and yet they have been one of the best defenses in the world.. He has been one of the best defenders out there no doubt.

Bayern's central defence is awesome, and so is Dante although he had a bad game against us

I think it's unlikely at this moment that City would be looking to buy a central defender. Perhaps in the Summer. Too disruptive now, and we are strong in that position

Unless there has been a major fall out between Dante and Bayern Munich then there is no way they will sell mid season. Not a bad player and at the right price he can be a good replacement for Lescott in the Summer imo.

Boateng has been the best defender in 2013 in Germany and for Bayern - nobody that watches German football and Bayern doubts that - even the sports magazines who always have been very critical about Boateng have changed their opinion. He really has been immense since then - especially because of his speed (and because of Neuer) we can play that high defensive line. Every defender has that blip somewhen, but Boateng really kept that to an absolute minimum in 2013 and he really got very good with his offensive actions.

Dante has been good until the Confed Cup - but I guess there is a lot players that just have not shone up since. He missed most of the preparation etc. Will be better after the winter break.

Yes, Bayern has a great team work - but that ain't even enough to win things, let alone league titles and the CL. To win everything in such a record fashion it needs more than just team work and good players - they have top players everywhere on the pitch - without that this success would not have been possible.

Dante ain't available. He has a contract until 2015 and Bayern for sure does not have too much central defenders. You cannot plan with van Buyten anymore, if Badstuber gets in the same form the has his questionable - so there is only Boateng, Dante and maybe Martinez you can count with.

There is absolutely no chance of Dante leaving Bayern.

-- Tue Jan 14, 2014 10:04 am --

That's been translated so poorly. Meant to read Monaco and Man City looking at Dante IMO as Bayern don't consider him untransferrable

No it's Italian, Munich in Italian is called Monaco.

I keep reading 'too disruptive' or 'would take time to adapt'

My thinking is......the definition of disruption will be very apparent if we lose Kompany again.

Is this some kind of joke ? In the most recent game vs Bayern Munich, Dante was being terrorized by none other than Edin Dzeko. This has got to be a joke.

In the first game against Bayern Dante plated an exquisite long ball to Muller to kill the game.

No idea why anyone thinks he's terrible unless they're basing it on the Bayern away game and only that.
