Seen ''Waggy'' play for City many times very early 60s, great tricky player
R.I.P Dave

Remember Dave from the time he played for Manchester boys, and City youth team, older than me ,but did have a game of wallie with him,at the time he lived at a greengrocers on the old road, really chuffed for him when he made the first team, saw him many times.
Not the toughest on the field, but a fine winger.
Condolences to all his family.

He was my favourite City player. At the time, Neil Young and David Wagstaffe played on the wings for City in the relegation season.

I was away at my grandparents in Shropshire for Christmas and got the bus to watch a Wolves match on Boxing Day. To my horror, just before the kickoff David Wagstaffe was introduced as their new signing.
