David Bowie RIP.

Letter to Hermione has been getting a play of late in my house due to a recent break up.

Epic song that captures exactly what I'm going through right now.

He is a genius. Sorely missed.

RIP David

Talented man taken from us too early, grew up with his songs and was fortunate to see two of his gigs. RIP the world is a sadder place today.

What a life, what a career.
The world has indeed lost a bit of pizazz today.

Alarm woke me at 7 and it was the first thing I heard today. Shite start to the week. Grew up with his music, loved every persona he adopted. Another level and will be sadly missed, but his music will live forever.

He provided the soundtrack of my youth, will be sadly missed, Ashes to Ashes Mr Bowie RIP

The wife woke me up with the news this morning, and am pretty shocked to hear the the Thin White Duke has gone. Was thinking what to post, when the post above popped up, and said it all for me.

I remember at 10 years old, summer of 1973 on holiday in a caravan in New Quay in mid-Wales, the end of a lovely warm day, goofing around with my brother and some mates on the grass outside the campsite social club, listening to Life on Mars from the jukebox coming out of the open windows, the smell of beer and ciggies in the warm air, not a care in the world. I loved Bowie from there on.

I was listening to Hunky Dory only yesterday, one of my most favourite tracks ever, Quicksand..

The word genius is overused nowadays, but not for Bowie.

Deeply saddened. RIP David. The day the music died.

His early stuff with the equally brilliant Mick Ronson was outstandingly powerful rock. There's a Top of the Pops
video of 'Jean Genie' which does it best, for me. 'Queen woman' is my favourite Bowie tune, which I think is from
the album before Aladdin Sane, Hunky Dory.
