I don't think PGMOL are the ones to blame here. Coote couldn't continue as a ref and they were right to sack him.

But the videos of him doing cocaine were leaked around the same time it was rumoured on social media that he had a Grindr profile.

The Sun have clearly gone to him saying that they know, so he can give them an interview or they can ruin his life. He chose the former.

PGMOL have nothing to do with what's come after his sacking. No need for rainbow laces either. Has just been let down by his so-called "mates".

If you're going to apologise to the dippers, i don't think the sun is the best way to do that. Absolute weapon of a bloke who's taken a few quid over actually trying to sort his life out. Deserves all the shit coming his way.

People like him that imply it as an excuse are a major reason why there is still homophobia. The brainless annoying Shabhan (however you spell it) bleating on about it on talkshite this morning, is another one who doesn't help.
99% of people couldn't care less what anyone else does in a bedroom, but some of them get riled when it's shoved down their throat, implying that they need to be "made aware" ....when the reality is, they really don't give a toss how other people live, unless it directly affects them......and anothers sexuality does not.

Ahhh yes I see Coote is doing what Schofield did. Come out as gay and the world calls him brave, to stop the backlash about sleeping with a boy. Although one lady poster will tell you Schofield is the greatest human being in the world.

Coote pretty much boasted of cocaine use and his corrupted ways and is using being gay to justify his actions. It's pathetic and of course the left leaning people are lapping it up.

Nobody gave a crap about anyone's sexuality 30 years ago. I'd be on a tube travelling home where blokes would be kissing and nobody battered an eyelid or cared. Same as they didn't with famous singers in the 80s and 90s. The media desperately love to make out we are living in the dark ages.

Using your sexuality to mask bad behaviour is a deplorable act.

I’m not going to derail the thread, so this is my last post on the matter, but what difference does it make whether they are under the spotlight or not?

I would have thought the actions of the various nonces the BBC has harvested and protected would be the more significant issue.
