Was discussing this today with a colleague. With regards to his actual remarks, and taking aside that they're against Liverpool, are they actually career ending? Should they be?
I would have said so when it broke, but now after a few days.... He called someone out on their behavior, and let's be honest anyone without Liverpool glasses on could see klopp was a bit of a dick, clearly loved himself and loved to take it out on others when things didn't go his way. Coote's embarrassed himself, it's massively unprofessional, but is it really career-ending?
Now bringing in the Liverpool and premier league factor.m, the level of scrutiny of the world's most viewed league and the constant sense of injustice from Liverpool fans... If it was against Chesterfield, would anyone care? If it was on the premier league last season against Sheffield United who, apart from their own fans, is calling for his career to end and claiming they lost out because of it?
I actually think, as others are saying now too, the pretty obvious "under the influence" angle is of much more concern.
