So there's something wrong with prefering Zabaleta over him? I'm allowed to not rate certain players.

Of course you are as are others able to disagree. Personally I would rather you didn't run down our players though. That is my opinion.

I have gone off Richards, after reading an interview with him, in this magazine. He was talking about what clothes he wears, how shoes are a vital part of any outfit, and the £1,500 he paid for a winter coat, which rarely comes out the wardrobe. Then there was the infamous quote "the ladies in my life prefer me in a plain T-shirt". So cringeworthy.

i kinda agree, its not the type of things you want to hear from your hard man at the back ..( that sounds odd hehehe).. but i do think there is more to come from richards, potentially he can be a great

Just read this article in the mail: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1206392/Mark-Hughes-Manchester-City-crocks-kicking-opening-day-Blackburn.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... kburn.html</a>

Hughes said: 'We're checking everyone. We're all in the same boat and some clubs will have more players away than others. We've had 17 or 18 away this week so it's difficult to get any structure to your preparation.'
There will be no sympathy, however, from Blackburn.
Their midfielder David Dunn said: 'We'll have to be very strong and very organised, and the main thing is to be really aggressive against them and knock them about a bit.
'It's important we do our best and kick lumps out of them, fairly of course. That is what the manager will be asking from our lads.

'There's no doubt about their resources but when you cross the white line the money doesn't matter.
'It's how much you want it.'

Surely this is just scare tactics?!

I emailed the FA, the Referee's Assocation and MCFC as soon as I saw the story on Newsnow... not had a response though.

Hopefully the ref will have been made aware of the comments and will be extra vigilant. Frankly I'm disgusted by the comments - I think they bring the game into disrepute and set a very bad example to youngers playing the game. It's a physical game but deliberately "kicking lumps" out of players is crossing the line.

Dunn also said that it doesn't matter about how much money you spend, it's who wants the win the most. I'd rather a bunch of players that are hard workers and want to win with passion, then players just happy to pick up the monthly pay cheque. That is all

Money mattered when you had Jack Walker though didn't it?

Zing! Spot on there Quinny.... If ANY team cannot criticise us for flashing the cash it's Blackburn.
