I really cant understand how silva cant be considered as one of our best ever signings!?!? EVERY ex player and world class player in the world constantly raves about him and about how class he is yet some of his own fans think he could be better? silva is a hell of a lot more consistent than Sergio and certainly this season has done as much off the ball as on it! he has paid his transfer fee back multiple times over and has been an amazing signing which we have blessed watching him play

But like i said what they don't show is the pass before the assist.....he has an awful lot of those as well and its usually the more difficult pass as well..I would be very interested to see f most of the assists by people like Nolito Sterling navas etc come from a previous pass by silva......

There obviously are stats like that if you have access to Opta; the only time I have seen extended assists, which considered up to 5 players touching the ball before the striker, was last year for the last season Chelsea won the league. That chart was led by, by a mile, by Hazard and second was of course a City player: Yaya. Fabregas was third and then there's a run of City players headed by Silva.

We'll all have different views on who has been the very best player we have seen in the last few years, which is why as I posted earlier it's a bit pointless trying to put them into some kind of top five in any order as they all have different attributes. What isn't up for debate as I see it is Silva being one of a group of very very good players that have taken us to a new level.

Are people noticing that utd and spurs have had players withdrawn already???? Kane and Rooney now withdrawn from playing.........this has been going on for years where teams like those two make their players put club before country sometimes....ferguson got away with it for a long time......

When I look back in 10 years time, I'll remember Yaya for some towering performances when it mattered. The FA Cup semi, the final, the penultimate game at Newcastle in 2011/12, the 2013/14 season, not least his goal at Wembley and the rest he scored. When I think about Silva I'll remember a really nice player who once really turned it on at Hull.

I think Yaya's legacy among City supporters has been tarnished by the utterances of his idiot agent, whereas Merlin has repeatedly said how much he loves being at City.

As has been stated many times on Bluemoon, it is difficult to compare players from different eras. It is almost equally as hard to rank the greatest players of since the takeover, as they all bring their own unique qualities to our team.
