David Silva - 2016/17 performances

Hard to understand why, for Silva imo is probably the best ever midfield player I have seen at City, his out swinging corners from the left are often so poor?

Let's be fair though; most of our corners are poor. Kev is the best crosser of a ball that we have. But do we want him taking them, or positioned at the edge of the box for any potential knock downs?

Agree they were much better pre his inclusion but he's an excellent player and I think it's as much to do with them nothing playing centrally in Aguero's absence.

The real challenge was and will remain keeping them central and getting a striker in the team.

Liverpool I'd drop Fernandinho into centre half or leave Aguero out.
Sane left, Sterling right.
Silva & De Bruyne central.

Spot on.

Think its only fair to say that if Ilkay was playing and either of the other 2 where out we would be seeing a similar positive because of the space they get to play but as many have said, the 3 of them thrown in just doesn't work and Ilkay missing through injury will be a blessing in disguise imo.
 
Gareth Barry has just been on Sky and said David Silva is the best player he's ever played with, and he's played with some good uns.

Haha! This comes off the back of Dzeko saying Silva is the best he's ever played with, and Aguero saying Silva is the best City player he's played with.

If only those 3 were were as clued up as some of the geniuses on here who have figured out he only passes sideways and doesn't shoooooooooot enough! ;-)

This thread is too obsessed with the handful of deluded critics. I used to enjoy your posts giving the other 99% a personal insight into probably our best ever player. Happy new year when it comes and give our very best to Dave :-)
