David Silva - 2018/19 Performances

Thought both he and Gundogan were very poor last night. Neither did enough when in possession, both wasted glaring chances, and didn't show for the ball enough off the CBs which disrupted our attacking rhythm.

David is my favourite city player and always will be but something is definitely not right with him at the moment. since his hair grew back he's been mostly anonymous which is really out of character.

When's he's dipped in the past he's still put himself about, even if his touch had been poor and usually contributed in goals to compensate but this feels different.

I wonder if becoming a father has changed him? The decline seems too sudden to be age-related decline as he had a great start to the season. You could argue fatigue but he's had a fair bit of rest recently and it doesn't appear to have helped.

For staters that seems overly speculative.

And also, I'm not convinced he's struggling as much as some say. It's apparent he's lost a bit of sharpness but just because he's less spectacular doesn't mean he's having a hard time. The fact he keeps getting picked tells me it's not as bad as is being said.

He was at A&E with the baby the night before the dipper game,baby had pneumonia

Remember this - 1 missed placed pass from David Silva is like 3 or 4 from any other City player. His standard is that high that any drop is magnified.
