I was impressed with him in the first half. Did well to hold onto the ball and ride some tough challenges.

Can't argue with that, one thing Pep will definitely not tolerate is apathy,.

As has been pointed out,your choice to use the word 'apathy' is a poor one.

He may well be on the demise,but a lack of interest and enthusiasm isnt the reason.
 
Time as caught up with him, as it does with all players, otherwise bell, Lee and summer would still be playing. Has been a great player but his influence on games is diminishing, wouldn't be surprised if he went back to play in Spain next season. He we I'll know himself if he can't perform to is usual level anymore in the prem. He'll make the decision.
 
Paying the price for KDB's injury, he's played too much football and IMO we didn't take opportunities to rest him when we could.

He will get the summer off and I dare say will be much more like his usual self next season. If he gets used more cautiously I think we can get him to 35 if he wants.

I liked your original post as I knew you didn't mean apathy or lack of it, other won't overlook that kind of error, it would have been best just to keep it to his powers are on the wane, unfortunately.
 
David Silva is and always has been class!! Unfortunately age catches up with the best of us?? I hope we win everything and merlin waves that magic wand and disappears into the distance on a high to spend quality time with his family. Pablo seemed like a bereavement when he left:( fuck knows how I’ll cope when David, Sergio, and vinny retire.
 
I think Iniesta's form started to dip at the same age, it was clear a few matches ago, to me, that his utility now is as an impact sub rather than starting and playing 90 minutes. We're closer to the end of his first team career in Europe IMO
