Amazing player I would love him at city. I just cant see any chance of it happening.

Robinho (if he comes back and by the way he's still better than almost anyone at the WC so far)

I agree. I had got to the stage where I was sick of him playing out of his skin for Brazil only to return to City and look like he didn't give a shit. Also had been seriously pissed off at him unneccessarily and repeatedly saying he didn't want to return to City when he could have just kept his gob shut and not caused offence. But having seen him tear that mighty North Korean defence to pieces the other day, I'd gladly have him back now.

said it before an i will say it again, the only way to get the best out of robinho is to play him in behind a striker, give him that free roll.then we will all fall in love with him again.

if you stick him out wide on the wing its a waste,he cant tackle he dont like trackin back so best thing is to play him in his fav position behind a striker.

He does for Brazil.

Maybe we should get him back for the Summer, loan him out to a Spanish club in Winter and get him back for Spring? He could be the world's first seasonal footballer, a bit like a posh lady's wardrobe changing with then seasons?

So hands up who's ever seen Silva play a great deal different to what we saw today? Not saying he's a bad player or couldn't do it for City but today Silva did what he does. Sometimes it works out better. Sometimes he's inspired but on the whole, on average, Silva does what he did today & that's what we'd be signing.
I've never been overly impressed with him either. for me there are plenty of mythical players talked out who are no better than players already at the club like Richards, Onouha, Zabba, Ireland, Robinho (if he comes back and by the way he's still better than almost anyone at the WC so far), RSC, Adebayor, etc. I'm not saying people shouldn't speculate, hope for signings or be critical of some of our own players. I for example would like Yaya over DeJong. But I struggle to understand those talked about as superstars who I've never seen have a "super" game, like Silva, Gourcoff, Benzema, Ramos, Higuin, etc.

Those who talked of Ozil were on the money though. That boy has skill and vision - whether he is better than Robinho or more suited to the Premier League is unclear though. I'd prefer to stick with Robinho if it twas my decision though. Better the devil you know and all that.

And I'd prefer Ireland and Johnson and Ibrahim and Clayton and the lot. IMO we should be signing one or two big time players and then beefing up the academy. We should be blooding at least 4 or 5 of the current crop this season. Basically we should be trying to become Arsenal not Chelsea.

So in your opinion we should go with the team from 2 years ago plus a few new Academy graduates ???

Whilst great in theory, we would be closer to relegation than the top.

The drawbridge is due to be drawn on the top 4 in 2 years. After that, no other team will ever break into it due to UEFA rules.

We need to get there next season, and that means buying top quality players, not relying on sub standard Academy products

i dont think we need any massive changes really, if Robbie gets back and we get silva and toure that should be enougth to get CL next season.

to do this we need good attacking fullbacks. boateng is not really good at attacking so someone like alves would be perfect. bridge is ok, if we also got milner id stick him in there over barry or de jong. and also you dont have kompany in there. =)

This'd do for me ... rock solid at the back, plenty of fire-power up front :-)

David Silva says he would be interested in coming to City.

Well he doesnt actually say that but the gist of the article is that he has spoken to various Spanish players that have played in the Premier League and they have said good things about our project.
