It's erelivant anyway, if negotiations were postponed for only one week, (7 days) then negotiations would start tommorow! and a deal would probably take two weeks minimum from tommorow.

Either you have edited the quote, or the source your read it has. The chairman said that talks had been delayed because of another deal (on our part) that required urgent attention. If that deal is tied up then i dont see why this should take so long. Whats your theory for 2 weeks, if a player wants to sign and the club want to sell a deal can be done in a day. And whats to say the player hasnt already agreed a package ?? a deal is very advanced when two execs agree to meet in person
