Remember we went for Palacios and Bellamy last January at the same time as Spurs did, then pulled out of the Palacios deal and Spurs pulled out of the Bellamy deal?
If both us and Real want Silva, could it just be making ourselves a bargaining chip? We'll pull out of the Silva deal if you sell us these players....
I'm not sure Silva would fit in English football, seems a slightly strange target to me.

really?? Whenever I have watched Valencia to look at David Villa, it is Silva who has always caught my attention as the standout performer

Oh no doubt he's a top player, but he doesn't seem like the sort of target the Mancini goes for, he seems to favour players that have a physical edge as well. Just an inkling, probably way off the mark. We'll find out soon enough anyway.
