I was told that we are interested, United are interested but his preferred option is Real Madrid.

Not a dead deal but pretty unlikely in my opinion. United can't offer anything like we can financially. Real Madrid can offer the cash and the prestige.

Real will only take one of either Silva or Di Maria, there was an article floating round on here the other day about how it looked that Jose fancied Di Maria ahead of Silva.

Still can't see us signing him though.

If that's the case we've got a chance then. I was told he had asked to be given the opportunity to talk to them, and it wouldn't happen until after the world cup. We blew United out the water financially though.

Madrid are after Di Maria and Silva. They won't get both as they are too similar.

Di Maria has reportedly told his team mates and close family he is off to Madrid. Time will tell.

Di Maria will sign for Real in the next few days. Its all over the news in Madrid and they want it done asap but with him being in South Africa he cant have the medical so i doubt it will be officially done until he gets back. That would obviously mean they wont go for Silva unless they want 2 top left wingers, that opens the door up for us and the rags but he may even stay at Valencia

David Silva

No not signing but

He is the midfield player in Spain with the most assists. If he played for Barca or Real he would be a superstar like Xavi or Iniesta. He's 24 years old.

And he is not being sought after or linked particularly by Barca or Madrid.

Some time back there was the idea that we had come to an arrangement that we would not bid for players they wanted and vice versa. So we have not bid for Fabregas nor Villa and they have not bid for Silva.

Just a thought.

Re: David Silva

Hmm not thought of that Robbie interesting innit ?? hope there is some truth to this fingers crossed and all that..

Re: David Silva

to be honest that post like many of them has descended into is"he's signed, no he hasn't " etc etc

This was a new take on the player and what might be happening and didn't want it to get lost.
