Can Silva play in midfield?

Didn't impress in Spain's game against Switzerland - indeed he's been dropped, and he always seems to play on the right wing for Spain. We have players there.

I would much prefer Toure and Milner with Robinho, AJ or Tevez playing in the hole.
He can play on the left, on the right, or in the hole. He'd be excellent on the left of a 4231. I honestly don't think Robinho has a future at our club, and Bellamy seems to have his heart set on a move to Cardiff, so i'd expect us to line up with Silva on the left and Johnson on the right, should Silva actually sign. If we play 4312, Silva will be able to play in behind Tevez and Ade. With Yaya, Barry/De Jong and possibly Milner as the midfield 3.

Can't say I've seen Silva play on the right often, he usually plays on the left and drifts inside put can also play in the middle behind the strikers. No need for milner and toure if were bringing in a player like silva, get yaya and silva and I'd be delighted with our midfield

It´s not his possition. He ussualy plays behind the striker. Only plays on the right wing for Spain (and with VCF in some matches with R.Koeman). But most of the times as second striker (don´t know the name of this position in english, in spanish: mediapunta, enganche)
And you´re right. His performance against Switzerland wasn´t good.

this is gonna happen,i know he's a tosser but he knows his spanis players

Would just caution that Spanish football is very different to english football. It's all about retaining possession. Pass pass and move. Might not find it so easy in this League. Rieira looked good playing for Spain.

He's better suited more centrally than out wide. This could prove a problem for City due to the system you play. You could always adopt the Mourinho way.

Tevez-Adebayor-Johnson

Silva

Toure-De Jong

Bridge-Lescott-Kompany-Boateng(spelling :s)

Hart

Silva is miles better than Rieira in terms of ability. Of course the spanish leauge is different to the prem but if we took the reservation you seem to have about ball players then we would never sign anyone outside of the premiership again and that's not right as there's some of the most talented ball players in world football in other leauges who are worth taking a chance on and Silva is one of them
