David Silva

Makes me laugh that Merlin has been struggling to get in the Spain national side.

Mental.

Hopefully after what he did in Spain's last game their manager will have some sense.

Read this on a Guardian comment page:

Silva's the most skilful player in the Prem. His trickery is never pointless- his reverse passes or flicks are just the most economic or pragmatic way to get the ball wherever he wants it. Its easier for a small man, but I love the way he uses the slightest feints and shifts in his balance to commit his opponents into stepping out of his way.

Probably the most eloquent way to describe Silva I have yet seen.

its gonna take a word transfer record fee to get him out of city now.
that being said, i think hes happy her,and would like to build something here. he will go down as an absolute icon of football if he stays at city and we go on to do what we plan to

I have read that he likes the way people here let him live his life quietly. Which of course puts me in a quandary: do I approach him if I ever see him?

Then I realised it wouldn't matter as I'd probably faint at the sight of him!

At the risk of being banned; I'm afraid it's still Messi at the moment, but only just...

for passing and vision I'd have to say David takes it, he's equal to, if not better than iniesta and xavi. Dribbling and shooting wise though Messi is still quite a way ahead, combine Kun and David and you have Messi.

The one doubt that anyone had left in him was whether he could perform in the big games. On Sunday he shook off this doubt by getting 3 key contributions and a goal. He is truly magnificent and proved he is the best player in the Premier League by playing brilliantly in the biggest game of the season so far. Also starting to score more goals which is good to see.

Never ever approach the living god that is David Silva,
if you happen upon his presence avert your gaze and
bow your head in reverence until he has passed
