Let's be honest here, and for a moment take off the blue-tinted glasses: David hasn't exactly been that magical this season has he? In fact, it's over a year now since he was in that "magical" form which made everyone in football place him amongst the best players in the world. That he was for a few months back in the late 2011 but not anywhere near that kind of status it since then.

So what we have to ask ourselves is; Is it likely that he will once again reach that level of quality here with us, or do we use this potential golden opportunity to make a lot of money and sell him to Real?

I really really can't emphasize enough how much like the man, but... he's simply not that good anymore.
He's behind the likes of Bryan Ruiz, Maloney and Lennon is the assist league and has only three goals.

Could we really afford to turn down a 30mil offer for him? And should we?


I'm beginning to think we can do better for that kind of money, but it honestly hurts me to say so.

I think silva has been crutial to city during his time here and in me opinion he is undoubtablly one of our best players at the minute, its unfair to say 'hes simply not that good anymore' i completely disagree with this and if you look at statistics, when he plays our team completes more tackels for example showing that he improves our whole team and there is not many players if any i can think of in the world that can match his ball control and passing, if you ask me there is absoloutely NO way we should let him go.
 
Why is there a thread in the transfer forum with the subject: "David Silva"? The best player in EPL has signed a new contract with us, ya basta!

That fair mate, but I was comparing Silva of this season with Silva of the first half of last season, when he was amongst the best five midfielders in the world. I don't know how much of this apparent drop in impact has to do with himself, his lack of quality team mates, or the opponents having figured him out.

yeah i agree that his performance this season is not as good as it was last season but i think if we baught a player that he could link up with hed return to current form. In my opinion hes far from past it and i hope he stays
