You can debate about he and Bell all you want but there's no doubt in my mind that he's the best in the league
If he could up his goal output a touch, i would agree with you. Now you can argue that it's not his job to score goals, and it's a valid point. But scoring midfielders are vital now to a team challenging fro major honours. Gerrard and Lampard have been doing it for years, Hazard is doing it for Chelsea, Ramsey was banging them in for Arsenal earlier in the season before his injury and look at Yaya. It's Merlin's only weak point. Apart from his corners!

He should win the player of the season award.
He won't - Suarez will.
But he should without a doubt.

Yaya for me, the discipline he is showing at the moment is standing him out above the rest IMO,!!

another amazing performance. and that was before i saw the stats on sky; only two passes not completed all night.

Re: Silva - best since Bell?

If David Silva scored 20 goals a year people would talk about him in the same breath as Messi and Ronaldo.

Phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal talent. The best player we have ever had.

Re: Silva - best since Bell?

wasn't lucky enough / not old enough to have seen bell in his prime but can honestly say that silva is the best i've ever seen in a blue shirt.

Re: Silva - best since Bell?

Far and away the best player I've ever seen in a City shirt. It's a privilege to watch him.
