David Silva's Armband

I work with Scousers sometimes and up to a couple of weeks ago I told them that I would be happy for them to win the League if we didn't.

Can't believe how graceless and classless they've been on and off the pitch since then.

Most of them are shite and I'm not sure about the rest.

People ask why no mention of Heysel, well thats easy , the dippers have got it so any mention of Heysel is tantermount to disrespecting Hillsborough. Honestly, bring it up to any of them and they are offended. The bbc had to issue an apology to them after an eastenders character mentioned Heysel, and that character stated an 100% fact.

The rags had it right with their "always the victims" song

This was slaughtered in the media as being on a par with Munich songs. It's nothing of the sort.

If scousers collectively had taken responsibility for Heysel in the same all consuming way that they've collectively wallowed in self pity for Hillsborough then the song would be factually incorrect. They haven't and it isn't.

"Responsibility for Heysel" you gotta be kidding mate don't you know it was Chelsea fans and the NF who caused that.

Both United and Liverpool fans use sad events that involved the clubs they support (Munich Air Disaster and Hillsborough, respectively) to their advantage as soon as an opportunity appears to do so. It's as if they relish it. I just don't understand why they do it.

Just drove through Liverpool and the flags were at half mast on both Cathedrals. I asked a local what were they grieving for now, his response from what I could make out from under the deluge of spit, was for justice for the fans who have been mentally scarred by David Silvas armband being removed.

There was a que forming by the hastily erected marquee where some no win, no fee solicitor had set up, must of been at least 200 in line, every one with a tale of woe and hurt at how such behaviour is allowed in this day and age.

There were wreaths of flowers at the foot of St George's Hall and a concert in aid of this disaster has been arranged for this Saturday. Local radio tried to get an interview with Tarby but he wasn't available, so last minute substitute David Fairclough stood in, he has been left shattered by Silvas behaviour and it will live in his memory along with those memorable European nights at Anfield, but said £100k tax free would help him step into the hallowed ground once again.

This travesty has united a City like no other event in history, a City that doesn't normally grieve or moan. Everton manager and adopted scouser Roberto Martinez said that dirty Spanish twit Silva has let not only his club, country and the world down, but more importantly he's let the City of Liverpool down, his voice trembling and croaky with anger.

All games this weekend will be marked with a minutes silence, this action has the full backing of EUFA and FIFA who said there is no agenda against Silva or his club Manchester City, but spokesman Michael Platini said the sooner these upstarts are put back in their box the better it will be for traditional clubs with traditional values, a view shared by his close friend David Gill.

Because it gains them support through sympathy. They always use the phrase "the way this club has come through what we've been through" to make people think 'wow, what a great club they are'.

For the Champions League draw the other year Bobby Combover came out and the first thing he mentioned was the Munich air crash. Not United and their history, their success, their manager or players...Munich, first. BOOM - marketing! Rodgers has been the same in the last few weeks, especially after before and after our game with them. "We live with it every day here, the way this club and our fans act is something money can't buy" (dig at City and a bit of marketing for the sympathetic vote).

Am I allowed to say it's all getting a bit overkill now?

No, you're not, or you'll be arrested by the Political Correctness Police.

Of course it's overkill. It was a horrible tragedy and the families deserve justice, but the club and fan base use it as an emotional weapon. Rodgers blatantly used the disaster to fire up his team and fans.

Where is the constant reminder of the Bradford fire (56 dead)? Oh, they aren't a big club, so it doesn't count.
"An emotional weapon" is a very good description.

As I've said before it's becoming a national day of mourning and it's part of the calendar like a bank holiday.

People are not stupid and if the dippers carry on with this "marketing" and " woe is me" attitude for much longer I can envisage booing and an adverse reaction in future years from opposing fans .
Not only have Liverpool fans shown disrespect to city last weekend but are still trying to compete in mourning top trumps .
I've got hillsborough fatigue and I don't care who's upset with that .

Mark my words the tide will turn if the current attitude and expectations of Liverpool fans towards the disaster continues

In short. I am not obliged to mourn I am not obliged to feel sorry for you. I am not obliged to observe any anniversary. Don't make it part of my yearly calendar
Do it in private but keep out and off my tv and news

Far worse things have happened since that get no or little attention

In closing. I don't care anymore and that is purely down to Liverpool FC itself , the overkill and faux outrage at anyone who doesn't comply

Well chin up mate, only another 364 days to go until the next one.
