Used to kick the ball past the defender and run faster than the defender and cross into the box.It sounds simple and he made it look easy.
Never,ever forget that night early season when one came down off the bar and we beat Liverpool to go top I think.That night on the KIPPAX the roof very nearly came off…one of my fave matches ever at Maine road.

Fantastic player for us in tough times, was it 7 goals in first 7 games of season that got him his eng cap? the 1 on 1 chance came to early for him & his eng career over in a breath, paul lake aside we never had “quality” players at the time, david white was as good as it got for us suffering blues

We weren't a bad side at the time tbh, under Reid we were fifth place for a couple of seasons. Tbh, no teams were great then imo
