I was in the Holte End one day , down near the front , when a number of the guvnors and cool cats decided to infilterate .... it was about ten minutes to kick off and it took the Villa fans , and me , completely by surprise ..... it was only when Villa fans caught up in the fighting were reinforced by other Villa fans from the back of the stand that things cooled down , because the city fans then called it a day and departed.
The match itself was nothing like as exciting ..... a boring 0-0 draw!

Great video that. Thanks for posting; it brought back some great memories.
Interesting to see a certain Mr Platt scoring Villa's goal.
There was no greater sight for a City fan during that era than David White in full flight down the right wing, IMHO, though he also did a good job as an out-and-out striker after Kendall converted him.
Whitey was a great player for City and had a great game in the 5-1, among others.
