It probably was his gripe but that doesn't mean he was wrong about Pearce's managerial abilities. I'm sorry for Stuart Pearce that he doesn't seem to be cut out for management.
He was a great player and seems to be a genuine, decent man, but he must realise now that being a club boss isn't for him.

The 05-06 season? We got off to a flyer and I think we were comfortably in the top 6 going into November but bombed badly towards the end, losing something like 9 out of 10.
His negative tactics were bizarre when you consider his initial caretaker spell where he had us playing positive football which was a breath of fresh air at the time. His stint at Forest seems like a mirror image of his time at City - impressive unbeaten start playing exciting football followed by a catastrophic downturn of results and performances.
