De Bruyne?

This seems to be a common phrase used on here in a lot of threads. I've never understand the opinion that deals take any longer to conclude based on the size of the reported fee. Taking away specific problems from any deal such as the reported image rights with Pogba etc, other than maybe agreeing details on the breakdown of payment i don't see why a £50 million deal would necessarily take any longer than a £10 million deal?
Well if a player is on a free you only have to agree the players wages.
And that's it.
No flirting with the chairman.
We want you to sign. Do you want 50k a week? Yep?
Sorted. See you in July.
If a player is worth 50m you go in with a lower bid.
It gets rejected.
You wait a while. A week possibly passes by.
You go in with a slightly higher bid next.
A bit of umming and arring and maybe another week goes by.
Then the chairman get talking about figures.
Then you have to arrange a meeting with agent and player.
Does the player want to come?
Maybe another week passes by.
That's what 3 weeks gone already?
Still not a lot of progress really.
In my humble opinion it's perfectly normal for this kind of timescale.
It'll happen....just let nature take it's cause.
