De Bruyne?

Negotiations are done in private. How do you know what was discussed if anything months back? The press "speculate" and everyone adds their own interpretation.

If a club doesn't want to sell a player then how does that impact on the competence of our officials? You could say we should move n, but there aren't that many players who are obviously better than what we have. You could just buy loads of promising players and hope 1 or 2 work out. That seems to be some clubs' strategy.

A week into the season, I maintain that it's City and only City who have strengthened significantly this Summer. Jovetic and Dzeko were not contributing and their departure allows hungry young players to make an impact. In the Cups last season, the fringe squad layers came in. You'd expect them to be flying with a point to prove, but no they were complacent.
Very good post, i must confess, mate but I need you to pay attention to this: we cannot deny that there's been some urgency about this move in the past few days and my question is why didn't we "push" (i use this word for want of another that would explain my point better) them to do the very things they are doing now: denying our bids, insisting that KDB is happy with them, etc earlier. Negotiations are done in private alright but time and again information somehow finds its way into the public domain and I'll butress this point by saying that all confirmed transfers in Europe to this day once started as rumours. To discount all rumour, hearsay, speculation, report etc is to shy away from reality. Many will be wrong but a fair amount will turn out correct. The point I'm making is if for some reason we are not able to pull this one, then we have to ask questions. Its easy to make excuses but the reason we brought Txixi on board was so we could levearge on his relationships to get deals (good ones of course) done and if he can't maybe someone else can. If we keep making these kinds of excuses for him, we'll end up not signing the better players in Europe and blaming it on some conspiracy against us by other clubs

With news emerging of Pedro I think we might be showing Wolfsburg we ready to move on
Possibly aimed at the player himself if the reports about Wolfsburg wanting him to request a move have any truth to them.

there we go, the most reliable source for Belgian football news on Twitter confirming what we said:
