theres no way Kompany will have given that interview without city's approval and management so two suggestions..
either the deal is as good as done and we're all bracing ourselves for the announcement, and city are just stage managing a bit of pre-hype, or we're getting a bit frustrated and are looking at other ways we can turn his head and get him to ask to leave. hence throw out the international colleague to get stuck in
genuinely don't know which one this is, it definitely seems a managed ploy either way rather than some throwaway quotes Kompany gave in the queue at Boots

Even if he signs today he won't be in the Chelsea squad I would imagine, but I think we can say with increasing confidence that this one will happen this window. I don't remember Wolfsburg being so lippy when we to Dzeko from them a few years back, but the way they have mouthed off over KDB and about City has revealed them to have a few unpleasant individuals at the top of their hierarchy. Still, this is modern footballing business and the strong take from the weak, so thanks Wolfsburg and now shush for a few more years ;)
