De Bruyne?

Oh! we have a ginger messi
his name goes by de bruyne
he plays on down the left wing
or across up on the right
he scores the goals for city
and puts them in the box
and when he does it yet again, we'll be the champions! ;-)

(zabaleta song tune)

Looks like this could go under the radar

I guess he will not join us this summer - no ITK, no flap, just my opinion. At all, I think Sterling and Pogba are the far more important targets. Silva can fill the place KDB would take at least another year.

Statement wise Pogba is the most important potential signing, as the vast majority of people, both within and outside of the industry, are working on the assumption that "Little old City" couldn't possibly attract Pogba, not with Barcelona sniffing around. If we do manage to sign him up it'll be the first, legitimate, world class signing we've made since Aguero. De Bruyne would be an excellent addition, and I actually think it's more likely to occur than Pogba, but it would certainly register lower on the richter scale.

I can't be bothered explaining the conversation I had on Monday with a knowledgable fella - it's buried in the pogba thread, but basically the info I got was that this deal is pretty much off because of the money involved, hence why it has gone so quiet.

Personally I think the fact that every man and his dog knows our restrictions have been lifted is a bad thing when it comes to selling clubs dictating the price of their players.

I'm also assuming that this is why Nasri has gone public with his desire to stay.

Only posting it in good faith by the way. Just realised that it probably should have gone in this thread rather than the Pogba one.

Mirror: City will learn later today if they have a realistic chance of signing Kevin De Bruyne (24) from Wolfsburg.

This contract offer and meeting with Wolfsburg has been dragged out for a month. He was supposedly offered a new deal last month and has been meeting Wolfsburg next week or soon for an age. Godot arrived sooner.

Wish he'd hurry up and sign as I've a wager with a rag mate that he'll sign for us.
