De Bruyne?

That is truly shocking

"Sterling was expensive, but at least he has shown what he can do"

Go to an okay but mediocre team in Germany in Januari, and next season get second in the league, voted POTY, win the cup and supercup, + score 2 goals and give 1 assist in a 4-1 win against Bayern, break the assist record in the Bundesliga, Create the most chances/assists in Europe, 16 goals 28 assists in all competitions

--> "Has not shown what he can do" just because Chelsea were dumb enough to sell him for a lesser amount

It just goes to show how ignorant the sportswriters can be.

They aren't ignorant, they're doing it to get page views and appease rags and chavs. No one wants to see us sign a world class player, so anything saying he's not world class is going to be popular. It's all just business and driving up page views at the mail.

True in one sense but using the word flop in their article?

Haha the mail! No mention he was Bundesliga player of the year with 300 more votes than Robben? The fact he scored 16 goals and 28 (!) assists in 51 appearances? At 23 years old? Hes played in the PL he knows what it takes to adapt.

He has pure talent. Hell excell whereever
